Happy Halloween you wieners! It's been a gross and scary week around these parts, which you can read about here. I'll wait. These 17 fun size tootsie rolls aren't going to eat themselves and then feel rolling guts shame afterwards.
With all the snot and such, there was really no need for me to press play on anything scary this month on Netflix Canada. Seriously, the boogers I fished out of flaring nostrils last week would make Jason turn tail back to Crystal Lake, knife clattering on the ground.
Instead I reached out for delightful laughter-filled bonbons of joy to make this sodden and somber time a little more light.
My two favourite stand up specials available now on Netflix Canada are not new but new to me. (Like that gauzy excellent Tame Impala track I CAN'T STOP NERD MOM DANCING TO.)
If you ask my 4 year old, she would like you to know that despite all her Mama's BEST INTENTIONS, she got happily ensnared in the same three shows back to back to back.
Littlest Pet Shop - aka lots of colours and talking pets and cupcakes. A trifecta of OOOH!
Bo on the Go - aka animation circa 1994 with the catchiest theme song of all time. I think it encourages activity but Stella watches it laying prone on the floor, so, yeah.
Clifford's Puppy Days - aka when Clifford was just a small non-mutant sized dog. With an inexplicably reggae theme song that makes me laugh three rooms over because WHY?
Next month (aka tomorrow) my mission is to find her something with some nutritional value in both viewing and edibles. Maybe something a little math and geography oriented? With a side of celery? Ugh. Now that sounds scary.
What are you watching and loving on Netflix Canada? Keep the recommendations coming, yo!
As a member of Netflix Canada's #streamteam I will be giving you the straight goods on what I'm watching each month in exchange for a yearly membership. It's a match made in heaven, really.
